Housing   Personata   Fischerie   Food   Breeding

For our love birds we limited ourselves to rosei-collis and wild colored Black Masked Lovebird (agapornis personata).
In March and April they can enter the outside birdcage, which is in the night shed. In the night shed, they are provided with toys.
This cage is has three turning system with bowls to make the feeding easier.
On cold days the night shed can be closed off so that the birds can no longer go outside.

After the summer our two breeding couples are then brought into the separate part of the garden shed.
The garden shed has also been made into a breeding room where our breeding cages are.
Every couple can be separately housed in. There they are provided with heat and we make sure that the temperature is 15 degree Celsius. The lights consist of TL lamps and we make sure that there is about 16 hours of light a day.
A glowing bulb with dimmed light makes sure that in the morning and evening the light fades in and out.
The dimmer takes about half an hour in the morning before the lamp is at full capacity. After which the TL lamps are being activated.
And in the evening this goes in reverse order.
